Creativity is not something we view in isolation. It is an essential feature of all aspects of learning. It is enjoyable and motivates the children. It allows the children to express themselves and learn about themselves and the world they live in.
Children may have differing abilities and their individual talents may vary. We believe it is important that they have many opportunities to experiment with a wide range of techniques and materials. Much of the work that children do is likely to be related to the rest of the curriculum but they are also encouraged to develop subject specific skills.
During the Foundation Phase and Stage 2 children will have opportunities to visit Art Galleries and work with specialist artists during residencies.
